How the PreDx™ Test Works

One simple test could change the future

The test is intended for use by physicians as an aid in management of patients considered to be at risk for Type 2 diabetes.

The PreDx™ Diabetes Risk Test is performed using a routine fasting blood sample. It quantifies a panel of biomarkers, resulting in a single score: the PreDx™ Diabetes Risk Score. The biomarkers used in the PreDx Diabetes Risk Test were selected by testing baseline samples from individuals 30 to 60 years of age who developed diabetes within 5 years and a random selection of controls from the same population.1-3 Using mathematical modeling, the PreDx Diabetes Risk Test combines multiple biomarkers into a single diabetes risk factor between 1 (least risk) and 10 (highest risk).2

NOTE: The PreDx Diabetes Risk Test is an adjunctive test to complement, not replace, other diagnostic and clinical procedures.

The PreDx™ Diabetes Risk Score may be used as a motivational tool in helping to increase patient compliance for those at high risk.
