The PreDx™ Diabetes Risk Test is a quantitative test* that employs a complex algorithm to analyze a defined set of biomarkers implicated in the development of diabetes. The test is simple to obtain, performed on a fasting blood sample and simple to interpret — providing a single score that summarizes a patient's personalized risk for developing Type 2 diabetes within 5 years.
This fasting blood test provides you and your patient with a PreDx™ Diabetes Risk Score — a personalized diabetes prediction score with a number between 1 (least risk) and 10 (highest risk). This test is offered as a service exclusively by the Tethys Clinical Laboratory. The information provided by the PreDx Diabetes Risk Test may be used by the physician in conjunction with other clinical indicators to develop an effective diabetes prevention program.
